Job Description
We are seeking candidates for our Electrical Cable and Harness Technician position to add to our talented team of quality professionals.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities of soldering operations related to cable and wire harness assemblies:
Knowledge of connectors, contacts, wires, cables, resister color codes, soldering, fluxes, and general electrical cable and harness assembly procedures.
Understanding of IPC 610, IPC 620, and J-STD-001.
Knowledge of different electrical and manual tools such as crimp tools, automatic wire cut/strip machines, wire braider machines, heat guns, and electrical test equipment.
Complete understanding of assembly drawings and related documents: ECN's, assembly instructions, basic schematic reading.
Ability to consistently maintain a time standard in order to achieve a production schedule.
Qualifications
Recommended education, experience and attributes of a successful candidate:
Previous experience in a contract manufacturing or OEM environment.
Education Level - High School.
Minimum 2 years experience in solder assembler electronics manufacturing.
Experience working in an ISO xxxx or ASxxxx-certified electronics-manufacturing environment.
Must be proficient in English including the ability to communicate with all departments in the company.
Basic understanding of IPC 610, IPC 620, and J-STD-001 processes.
Experienced with J-STD-001 soldering. (Certified a plus)
Knowledge of military and or commercial electronics and components.
Able to read and interpret customer's datasheets, blueprints and special instructions to assemble electrical cable and harness assemblies.
