We have an immediate full time opening in our Salt Lake City Tax Department for an Accounting Technician/Bookkeeper. Job Purpose / Objective Complete bookkeeping and accounting duties for external clients Essential Functions and Primary Duties Responsibilities inlcude, but are not limited to: bookkeeping, reconciling bank statements, working with QuickBooks and other trial balance programs, preparation of tax returns Organize and prepare work papers as supporting documentation to client deliverables Process accounts payable and receivables Prepare bank deposits and reconciliations Administer general ledger coding, check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes Operate computers programmed with accounting software to record, store, and analyze information May prepare and review payroll, payroll reports, quarterly and annual governmental reports and financial forms such as xxxx, xxxx, W-2 and W-3 Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations Respond to routine client and management inquiries in a timely manner Execute administrative duties as assigned Additional responsibilities as assigned Minimum Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED required along with 2 years of accounting experience.
