Job Description: LOCATION: NORTH SALT LAKE, UTAH ZERO Manufacturing is a leading manufacturer and supplier of ruggedized cases. Our high performance enclosures are known world-wide, and are used in commercial, industrial and military applications. We have an immediate need for Financial Reporting Manager. SUMMARY The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities. The Financial Reporting Manager will have contact with senior-level management which requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.Obtains and maintains a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structureEnsures an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close, including the consolidation of a foreign subsidiaryEnsures the timely reporting of all monthly financial information including accurate inventory and fixed asset recordsResponsible for planning, studying and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and laborAnalyzes actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costsEnsures accurate completion of the daily banking requirements and daily cash reconciliationsEnsures the bank compliance activities are performed in a timely and accurate mannerSupports budget and forecasting activitiesInterfaces with A/P, A/R, and Payroll functions with the ability to perform when necessaryHelps ensure a clean and timely year-end audit which includes year-end physical inventory and 401k auditCompletes all tax and government reports and filings (except FIT and SIT returns) and handles related auditsMaintains company contracts and lease. QUALIFICATIONSAbility to communicate clearly and persuasivelyAbility to multi-task, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines requiredExperience working with financial reporting and cost accounting in a manufacturing environmentStrong abilities and experience in financial reporting concepts and preferred business practicesStrong knowledge of and experience in the preparation process for financial statements in conformity with GAAP and GAASStrong knowledge and experience with internal control systemsMust be proficient with Microsoft Excel. Advanced Excel in V Lookup, Pivot Tables, Formulas, Graphs, etc. preferredExperience with and Crystal reports, ERP systems, accounting systems, and Microsoft Access neededAbility to work with all departments throughout the organization and provide excellent customer serviceSkills in analyzing, preparing, checking and balancing routine fiscal transactions and accountsExperience working with external auditors and due diligence reporting EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree in accounting and 3+ years' experience in an accounting GL and financial reporting role. 2+ years' experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
