Job Description
LOCATION: NORTH SALT LAKE, UTAH
ZERO Manufacturing is a leading manufacturer and supplier of ruggedized cases. Our high performance enclosures are known world-wide, and are used in commercial, industrial and military applications. We have an immediate need for a Human Resources Administrator.
SUMMARY
The Human Resources Administrator is responsible for multiple functions within the Human Resources Department including employee relations, employee wellness and benefits plans, recruiting, on-boarding, records development and maintenance, etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.
Primary responsibility to exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance directly related to the Human Resources functions.
Interacts effectively with employees and helps resolve issues.
Administers insurance and 401(k) plans including enrollments and terminations. Processes required documents through insurance providers and ensures accurate and timely data entry and proper deductions. Ensures COBRA compliance.
Manages annual open enrollment period each year. Arranges for distribution of materials from carriers and as all required regulatory notices.\
Manages ACA requirements and compliance
Establishes and conducts new employee orientation to ensure employees gain an understanding of the company policies, procedures and benefits.
Participates in the renewal process and provides insight into plan design and provider choice.
Sends out all required notices on insurances and 401(k) program in a timely manner.
Administers 401(k) year end testing and resolves any issues.
Reviews the 401(k) plan quarterly with the VP of HR and makes recommendations for investment changes. Ensures timely deposit of participant and company funds. Facilitates a yearly plan review with the Company 401(k) review board. Ensures full ERISA compliance.
Performs recruitment activities, interviews, and evaluates candidates for select positions. Maintains recruiting records.
Assists in the preparation of the annual Affirmative Action Plan.
Conducts exit interviews.
Responsible for all on-boarding functions
Assists with internal investigations of complaints as assigned.
Creates and maintains employee records and files
Manages company functions
Manages internal communications such as the communications board
Participates as a functional member of the suggestion steering committee..
Maintains an up to date organizational chart and phone list
Performs other HR generalist duties as assigned.
Manages front desk schedule
QUALIFICATIONS

Strong working knowledge of all aspects of employee benefits including health insurance, ACA, wellness program, 401k, COBRA, STD, LTD, etc.
Proven success in employee relations and interacting at all levels of the organization
Demonstrated knowledge of HR Information systems, internet system, Powerpoint, spreadsheet and word processing software.
Strong presentation, oral and written communication skills.
Successful experience in recruiting for a manufacturing facility.
PHR certification preferred.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree and at least three years Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment, or appropriate combination of education and experience.
