Job Description
The Sales Assistant I reviews loan files to ensure compliance with underwriting standards as well as completeness of the loan submission. The incumbent assists in client care from point of contact through post-closing. The incumbent will support and grow the loan volume of the branch by generating new realtor meetings, database leads, and generally assisting Mortgage Consultants and/or the Branch Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Provides assistance to the MC in submitting the loan application to the Income Specialist.
• Assists the MC and Income Specialist with the collection of documentation necessary for the pre-approval of the loan application.
• Assists the MC and Loan Processor with the collection of documentation necessary for the submission of the loan application to Underwriting.
• At the direction of the MC, may contact the borrower directly as needed.
• May contact escrow, title, agents, property inspectors and other third party vendors as needed.
• At the direction of the MC, creates marketing materials and facilitates marketing campaigns.
• Maintains database management system for MC.
• Generates meeting with Realtors and converts past clients into new leads for the MC.
• Handle front desk duties on an as-needed basis.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance preferred or 3 -5 years industry experience
• 1+ years sales experience; exceptional sales and presentation skills
• Experience managing a CRM system
• Must be self-motivated and have an ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
• Excellent attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite of products: Outlook, Work, Excel, PowerPoint, etc…
• Ability to work in a fast paced, fluid environment
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• High integrity and confidentiality required
