Sr. Software Engineer in Salt Lake City, Utah For Sale

We are looking for a self-driven, world-class software engineer to contribute to the design and development of a sophisticated web application. This application will be the glue in a system to ingest, process, store, and deliver large amounts of data. Our team implements the agile scrum process and test-driven development. You will be collaborating closely with data engineers and video engineers to ensure that the system satisfies requirements and is robust and scalable. You will have significant influence in deciding which technologies are chosen throughout the system
Qualifications
?Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
? Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred
? Instinctive understanding of object-oriented development
? 3+ years experience with various web development technologies such as JavaScript (e.g. Node.js, jQuery, Marionette, Ember.js), Ruby (e.g. Ruby on Rails, Sinatra), HTML5, CSS3, databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB)
? Solid understanding of automated testing and extensive experience with testing frameworks
? Navigating the Linux command line and performing essential web server administration tasks are as familiar as making lunch
? Agile scrum development experience
? Experience working with continuous integration tools
? Experience and passion working with audio/video
? Passionate about solving complex, technical challenges
? Dependable
? Motivated self-starter
? Work well with others in a team environment
? Solid conflict resolution skills and integrity
? Strong communication skills (oral and written)
? Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
Preferred Experience and Skills:
? Cloud experience, especially Amazon AWS
Bonus Skills:
? C++
? Experience with Chef or similar configuration management system (such as Puppet)
